Create clean, accurate cutouts in vinyl and aluminum fence posts with repeatable precision.
EZ Template™ Inserts are interchangeable routing templates designed to work with the EZ Template Frame™ and EZ Hole Router Bit. Each insert is engineered to guide your router for fast, consistent pocket cuts when installing fence rails, brackets, hardware, and decorative components.
The EZ Hole Router Bit must be used with all EZ Template™ Inserts.
Whether you’re a professional fence contractor or a DIY installer, EZ Template™ Inserts help eliminate measuring errors, reduce rework, and produce clean, professional results every time.
Designed for routing rail openings in 2” and 2-1/2” aluminum fence posts, the Aluminum Router Template 2.1™ creates a precise 7/8” H x 1” W opening with centered hole placement. Adjustable rear tabs allow the template to fit both post sizes by simply rotating the tabs.
Features:
Important: This template must be used with the EZ Hole Router Bit. Before routing, clamp the template securely to the post and pre-drill a 3/8”–1/2” starter hole. Never plunge the router bit directly into aluminum.
That gets the important information across in about 20% of the space and lets the video do the heavy lifting.

"The holder works ok. Needs a to say to actually clamp in the post without the clamp getting in the way. Purchased a 1 1/2” x 5 1/2” insert and the hole is way too big. Had order another post. It says that size on the template and that is the size of i hole I needed for the rail but ended up with a 2 1/2” x 6 1/2”. Clips for the top and bottom rails didn’t have any material to hold on to."
